She spent eight years with CosmoGIRL, which was among the first brands to launch with a companion website and mobile platform. In 2004, she was named vice president. She can be credited with growing CosmoGIRL beyond the pages of the magazine through its website and innovative initiatives including the annual “Born to Lead” awards, an event that recognized young people and their accomplishments; the “Kiss of Approval” awards, highlighting the best in beauty, fashion and entertainment and the first-ever CosmoGIRL “Born to Lead Design Search,” a joint project with the Fashion Institute of Technology. Prior to her move to Hearst, Kristine worked at Ladies Home Journal from 1988 to 1999, where she held various positions in advertising, from sales manager to ad director. Prior to her publishing career she worked at Wells Rich Greene Advertising.
